The NS200 uses a perimeter frame and is also an excellent handler, if slightly more focused on stability than agility. Both are a genuine step above anything in the 160 cc class.

The Apache RTR 200 4V is rated at around 40 kmpl, which is respectable for the performance on offer. The liquid cooled NS200 typically returns a little less. Tyres, chains and brake pads cost more in this class than in a commuter, so budget for real maintenance rather than minimum servicing.

If you measure a bike by its top figure, buy the NS200 and enjoy it. If you measure it by how it behaves between 40 and 80 kmph, which is where almost all real riding happens, the Apache feels like the stronger machine and comes with more equipment for the money. Both are excellent. They simply reward different definitions of fast.
